Tai Chi Chuan

Tai Chi Chuan is a martial art that is sometimes called meditation in movement. It uses breath, slow gentle movement and concentration to bring about physiological changes in the body and creates an overall feeling of well-being. Although it might appear to be tailor made for the modern world and its relentless pressures, Tai Chi Chuan has in fact been here for a considerable length of time. With its origins rooted in ancient China, this integrated exercise system for body, mind and spirit is thought to date back almost 1000 years.

If you are new to Tai Chi we recommend starting with the Introductory Tai Chi class where you will learn the foundational principles of movement in Tai Chi and learn a short form or two.  Once you are comfortable with the material in the introductory class, move on to the Beginners' Tai Chi class to learn longer forms and more details of movement.  The regular Tai Chi classes cover longer, more advanced forms.

Classes are drop-in format so you can start any time.  Your first Tai Chi class with us is free, so come check us out!
